If every statement in this box is false, is this stament true?

huh what box im confused email the explaination pleaseIf every statement in this box is false, is this stament true?
Yes, it is!!!If every statement in this box is false, is this stament true?
No! its a conundrum!

Statement: ';I wasnt being myself'; true or false?

When people say 'I wasnt being myself' how can that be? Is it just an excuse for a silly moment? Surely people are being themselves whatever way they behave, each behaviour being a small part of their overall personality. How can a person be anything other that what they are, which is themselves?Statement: ';I wasnt being myself'; true or false?
FALSE.

when people say this they really mean ';I was being the part of myself that I dont want people to see';

Everyone does it.Statement: ';I wasnt being myself'; true or false?
Normally when a person says you are not being yourself they are merely indicating that you are not acting as they had grown accustomed to you acting. for instance suppose you are normally a shy timid person yet out of the blue you attack someone for seemingly no cause. this puts you out of charcter in the viewers eyes
when i lost my son i walked around ignoring everyone and yelling. does that mean that is the true me?
When people say ';I wasn't being myself'; they probably mean they have acted ';out of character';. For example, if you are someone who is easygoing and rarely in a bad mood but once in a great while fly into a rage over something said or done to you, you may think that you were not being yourself or acted uncharacteristically.
You are right, but often for many people they don't know who 'themselves' are. People wear many masks which they present to the world, a different one at work, at home, out socializing etc..

They are defence mechanisms to keep themselves safe and often they are not even aware of it, sometimes though the mask slips and part of the true self emerges.

If they are conscious of this 'gaff' they may, in defence say 'I wasn't being myself' and they may even believe it, but often for the observer it is an insight into that person's character that they would rather you didn't see.

The less masks someone has the more secure and self assured a person is likely to be, well grounded and living in the now.
i guess that being ';ones self'; is when your body and mind are at a balanced level for the longest time whilst awake, ie. they have rested enough, all the chemicals in the body are in balance etc.

So to ';not be ones self'; would be when a factor, such as sleep deprivation or chemical imbalance, would effect both the body and the mind causing changes to the ones personality.

For example, if you drank a large volume of alcohol, which shuts off parts of your brain and lowers your inhibition along with other things, would you term yourself as being your ';true self';? i wouldn't, a physiological change has occured inside your brain physically changing your brain causing personality changes.

It may not even have to be as effective a task as drinking, changes in ones chemical ballance can be caused by hearing bad news, not enough sleep, being told ';i love you'; all of these things will effect you and your mental state

so in summery, lol, i think its true
It's a term to describe a moment of just being human.

Being Silly is an intrinsic right of being a human being, so it really doesn't need an excuse - it's just the way we are.
It probably means that they did something out of character, outside of their usual behavior. It really is part of them, though. It might not show itself too often, or maybe we're good at hiding it from others.

There is really so much that makes up one's self, so many things. So many people don't realize how complex they are, and the potential they have of being inpredictable.
You definitely have this figured out unless they having outer body experiences which don't exist. then it is always them being who they truly are.
I think you're answering your own question - it's just a question of whether we're prepared to accept responsibility for our own actions. Once you do you're more likely to act with pure motivation with a good heart.

From a Buddhist point of view we all have delusions which stems from our karma. Also everything lacks inherent existence and there is no 'you' in the sense of an ego identity. Freud got it wrong methinks.

Have fun.....
well sometimes ppl pretend/try to be something or someone else..could be bcuz of pressure, for want of attention and friends etc..ppl adapt n change according to their likes n dislikes.

There is soo much about a person that he/she wouldnt even know yet! Some small character which is deep inside, some big talent hiding under the skin..but eventually some moments bring it out in such cases, they dont seem like 'themselves' but they are!

Should auditors be jailed for giving false statements?

I believe auditors are liable for a custodial penalty for making false statements, depending on the seriousness of the offence, and probably on whether it's a repeat offence.

That's speaking from NSW, Australia.

Should they be jailed?

Maybe not for a first offence ~ probably some form of community service would be more useful, but if they are a repeat offender, and particularly if what they have done has caused hardship to people, then I would give a qualified yes.

Qualified because it would really depend on the individual case and the circumstances.

Most of the time, prison is the LEAST useful of solutions, but there comes a point past which nothing else can be done.

Cheers :-)Should auditors be jailed for giving false statements?
Yes, there is too much graft going on.Should auditors be jailed for giving false statements?
yes, jail them all!

    Of course...

    False.
This sort of question is common among deep thinkers. I like the part about cavemen and fire. Can you image cavemen looking at the moon and imagining traveling there? But then maybe they did think about it.

If I were to look out the window one misty morning to see a group of little gray space travelers collecting plants from my back yard, it would not surprise me.

I am agnostic, but if I die and discover that there is a loving creator standing ready to apologize to me for all the suffering that I am going through in my life, I would cry from relief. I agree with you that The Unknown is only what has not been discovered yet. To refuse to believe in the possibilites of all things shows an unwillingness to venture out of the Cave.

That's kinda like asking someone to show you something that noone's ever seen before, and then they cut the inside of an apple open without lokoing at it and show it to you. (the idea is that noones seen that specific apple core). Of course there WERE unknown unknowns, but you can never prove that they are currently existing because they haven't been considered yet. However this is, well, really likely. That they exist, I mean.

Sorry, I think my analogy was unclear. It's just that I remembered a story fron when I was a child ^_^';Do not doubt the unknown unknown'; Do you think this statement is true or false?

Catholics only please: Would you please verify if the following statement is true or false. No offence meant?

The official position of the Roman Catholic Church on salvation is that a person must believe in Jesus Christ AND be baptized AND receive the Eucharist along with the other sacraments AND obey the decrees of the Roman Catholic Church AND perform meritorious works AND not die with any mortal sins.Catholics only please: Would you please verify if the following statement is true or false. No offence meant?
    False.

Did you get that from ';gotquestions.org';?

If so, please ignore everything what they say about Catholicism; they only ';look'; smart because they have a ';.org'; at the end of their URL, but in fact they're pretty dumb when it comes to judging Catholics.

    Try other websites like

    http://www.scripturecatholic.com

    http://www.davidmacd.com/catholic/review…

These sites explain everything pretty good.

Plus: Did you know that the Catholic Church was established by Jesus? Catholics were the first Christians, and it's the true church.

    EDIT: Thanks :D

Take a look at James 2:14-25.

    There it says:

';What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, ';Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed,'; but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

    But someone will say, ';You have faith; I have deeds.';

Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.

You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.

You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was MADE COMPLETE by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says, ';Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,';and he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

    In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.';

This means that if we have faith, we'll WANT to to good stuff and obey God.

If someone claims to have faith, but doesn't even try to be good and do his best to obey God, then his faith is just not existent.

There's also Matthew7:20(';by their fruit you will recognize them';), and Matthew 12:33(';ake a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad, for a tree is recognized by its fruit.';).

It's a bit hard to explain, but it's not ';faith+works';, but your faith will bring forward good deeds, showing that you do want to obey God; just do your best.

    :)

    EDIT again:

Well, let's put it that way: It is required evidence.

Just think of ';actions speak louder than words';.

It clearly says so in the Bible, and some other Christian denominations will also tell you this(it's not just a Catholic Thing.)

    Here's another Bible quote:

    ';Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father';

Proper, real faith CAUSES you to obey God.

http://www.scripturecatholic.com/justifi…Catholics only please: Would you please verify if the following statement is true or false. No offence meant?
Its true! Catholic teaching exalts human effort at the expense of Christ.

Anyone who thinks that the Catholic Church is really changing its core teachings is a million miles away from the truth. This is taken from a Reformed Catholic who has written a excellent book of his life in the Catholic Church and how he was converted to Christianity.
    False.

No matter what someone may tell you to the contrary, the Catholic Church teaches that salvation is by the grace of God alone. NOTHING ELSE.

The confusion lies in when we explain how we get that grace - through faith and works (that is works done for God's glory, not your own) per Ephesians 2:8-10.

The sacraments are some of God's many ways of conveying saving grace to us.

While the Catechism does say that one must be Catholic to be saved, it ALSO says that since God is merciful, He can and will save those who, ';through no fault of their own, do not know'; the Catholic Church to be God's church. So ultimately it really says that any believer can be saved.
    Ummmmm...nope.

The official position of the Roman Catholic Church is that JESUS saves. There is no formula. There is no way to earn salvation. It's up to the Lord, and that's the end of it.

If a person doesn't have the opportunity to be baptized, s/he can still be saved. If a person doesn't have the opportunity to receive the Eucharist (or any other Sacrament), s/he can still be saved. If a person doesn't know what the decrees of the RCC are and can't be sure s/he is following them, s/he can still be saved. If a person never performs a meritorious work, s/he can still be saved.

If a person willingly commits a serious mortal sin (i.e., murder, denouncing Christ, adultery, etc.) without being pressured to do so and refuses to repent of that sin his/her soul would certainly be at peril, but all Christian religions believe that.
    False.

“Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience. Nor does Divine Providence deny the helps necessary for salvation to those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to live a good life.” (Lumen Gentium 16)

    http://www.vatican.va/archive/hist_counc…
    True.

    And I hope everyone caught the flying nun above....quoting: ';Plus: Did you know that the Catholic Church was established by Jesus? Catholics were the first Christians, and it's the true church.';

Three lies in one sentence, the Trinity of Lies. Jesus did not establish the Catholic church; Catholics were not the first Christians; and it is not the true church. It is ';a'; church, one of many Christian denominations.

    Peace.
    false

The Church teaches that good deeds and faith and forgivness that comes only through the grace and mercy of the Lord is what gives you eternal life.

    True.If S = {x | x^2 %26lt; 4} and T = {w | -2 %26lt; w %26lt; 2}, then S = T. Would this statement be true or false?
    S = {x | x^2 %26lt; 4} is the collection of -2%26lt;x%26lt;2.

    T = {w | -2 %26lt; w %26lt; 2} is the same collection indeed. So S = T.

F(x) = sec x. Let x and 2x be in Dom f. Determine whether the following statement is true or false:?

f(2x) = ((f(x))^2)/(2-(f(x))^2)F(x) = sec x. Let x and 2x be in Dom f. Determine whether the following statement is true or false:?
    You want to know if

    sec 2x = [ sec^2 x ] / [ 2 - sec^2 x ]

So let's work backwards. Start by taking the reciprocal of both sides:

    1 / sec 2x ? [ 2 - sec^2 x ] / [sec^2 x]

Since secant is the reciprocal of cosine:

    cos 2x ? cos^2 x [ 2 - sec^2 x ]

Multiply through by cos^2 x on the RHS:

    cos 2x ? 2 cos^2 x - cos^2 x * sec^2 x

    cos 2x ? 2 cos^2 x - 1.

So, does equality hold on the last line?

    Good luck.

Got this one wrong on a quiz. Can you help? Which of the following statements is false?

    1. Genes and chromosomes are duplicated during prophase

    2. New nuclei are formed during telophase

    3. A diploid cell will produce two diploid daughter cells by mitosis

    4. Chromosomes do not pair during mitosis

    5. Eash species has a specific number of chromosomes

(I said #3 and got it wrong. Is it #4???)

Thanks. BTW I would ask my instructor, but he dosen't want us to print these ?'s from online quizes because he puts them on our exam!)Got this one wrong on a quiz. Can you help? Which of the following statements is false?
During s-phase of interphase, the genetic material is duplicated. So #1 is FALSE.

Telophase sees the production of the nulear membrane. So in effect, new nuclei are formed, making #2 TRUE.

Mitosis creates two daughter cells that are diploid, because it is reproduction of somatic (body cells), no production of gametes (which would be haploid). So, #3 is TRUE

Chromosome find their homolougous pair during prophase of Meiosis, NOT mitosis. Pairing occurs during meiosis so the the gametes that are haploid can be formed. So #4 is TRUE

Each species has a specific number of chromosomes- fruit flies for example have 8 chromosomes, while humans have 46. So #5 is TRUE.Got this one wrong on a quiz. Can you help? Which of the following statements is false?
    #1
The answer to this problem is #5.
    2 is false.

At telophase, the two new nuclei are already formed and awaiting the rest of telophase to complete, where all cellular components are separated by actin filaments, and pullled to each pole of the dividing cell. In the middle of the dividing cell, the cell membrane starts to pinch off to finally form two new cells which are clones of each other.

Good luck. Biology... especially cell biology is a lot to remember... and even we working biologists need to review such voluminous material.
the WRONG answer is 1. Duplication of genetic material happens during the S-phase part of interphase. All of the others are true statements.
4 is my guess from my course in genetics many years ago
He, he, #5 is actually wrong, but I doubt your teacher knows that.

Robertsonian translocations have been reported in Mus musculus populations in the Madeira Island, Portugal and Sicily, Italy. They are still the same species, they just have a different 2n.

    Quick abstract example: http://cat.inist.fr/aModele=afficheN%26amp;cpsidt=16610123

Also, the Squalius alburnoides complex from Portugal (Guadiana River) present different number of chromosomes (2n or 3n).

Quick abstract example (mentioning the different ploidy):

    http://www.springerlink.com/content/xx566443316g2237/

    Edit:

Please note that these are stable populations that maintain the number of chromossomes consatnt in each one. The occurence of Robertsonian translocations is not an isolated event that disapeares with the death of the individual (ex: Down Syndrome: a human with 47 chromossomes). There are actually stable populations of Mus musculuas ans Squalius alburnoides with different chromossome numbers.

Which of the following statements about the production of the line spectrum is false?

    a. The energy of the photon can have any value.

    b. The energy of the photon is related to the energy levels of the electron orbitals.

    c. Electrons can be excited by passing electricity through a gaseous vapor.

    d. Electrons always relax back to the ground state.

Which of the following statements about the production of the line spectrum is false?
    i know the answer....

explanation... electrons belong in orbitals and when excited can jump into the next higher energy orbital.... when the electron falls back to the original orbital a photon is released. the photon released in proportional to the change in energy state....

now figure out the answerWhich of the following statements about the production of the line spectrum is false?
The reason you get the line spectrum is because potential energy is being converted to kinetic energy as the electron in the excited state falls to a lower energy level, energy is released as a photon.

Hydrogen is the simplest element to think of since it only has one electron in its orbital. If you excite the electron it might jump one two or three levels, as it falls back to the unexcited state (it always will want to go back to its lowest energy state) it will release a very specific amount of energy which will be seen as a very specific frequency of light. If it drops one energy level that will be one specific frequency, if it drops two that will be a different but specific frequency.

When you pass an electric current through hydrogen gas what you will see are the lines at these specific frequencies. In this way each element that you look at will have a very specific finger print unique to that element. The more electrons you have to more specific frequencies you will have and the more colored lines, look at neon sometime.

You can find websites with these finger prints if you do a search.

Answer a. is absolutely not true those photons of energy cannot have just any value if they did you would not get those nice clear lines in your spectrum.
    a. The energy of a photon is a constant h(nu) where h is Planck's constant and (nu) is the photon's frequency.

An opinion is neither true or false. An expert's statement of opinion may be subject to a claim of fraud? True or False?
I'd say that's probably true. But even in a case where someone is licensed, you would have a very hard time trying to sue someone for their opinion. It's rare but it can happen though. Malpractice cases do happen against doctors. There are times when patients go to the ER and complain of chest pains and the doctor sends the guy home with an incorrect diagnosis of heartburn. And then the guy ends up dying of a heart attack. In other words, the doctors educated opinion was that of heartburn when really it was the beginning stages of cardiac arrest. I am unsure whether or not malpractice is fraud though. I suppose it could be in some cases though. Like in cases where a doctor messes up numerous plastic surgeries on patients. An expert's statement of opinion may be subject to a claim of fraud? True or False?
it could be fraud if they use misrepresentation information to support their opinions
Absolutely. If you're contemplating a legal action. secure a lawyer.

    c 32

    d 48

I know the answer is 32 but how do you get thatThe statement ';If x is divisible by 8, then it is divisible by 6'; is false if x equals a b c ord?
32 is the only option divisible by 8, but not by 6.The statement ';If x is divisible by 8, then it is divisible by 6'; is false if x equals a b c ord?
32 is the only choice divisible by 8 and not by 6.

To get a false conclusion you need a true

    hypothesis and a false inference.

32 is the only choice that provides that.
If we assume that x is divisible by 8 then, then x is definitely not divisible by 6 for it to have any of the values of a,b,c,d. (anyways, x would be one of c or d; since a and b are not divisible by 8) Hence this definitely makes x=32
    remember those divisibility rules?

6 divides a number if 2 and 3 both divide it

    - 2 if it is even

    - 3 if the sum of the digits is a multiple of 3

False. It can be wonderfully satisfying to help another. As a literacy tutor, I get almost a tutor's high, like a runner's high, when I hear a child who thought he was stupid read a paragraph or--this always half-kills me--a 40-something reading a newspaper aloud for the very first time. You know that you have worth and have affected another's life for the better. Also, as a Pagan, I believe that you get what you give. If you do good deeds, people will want to do good for you when you need it. People remember.
True or false depend on individual belief system

If I do something with the urge just to get to heaven, what is heaven then?

A place for eternal rules and restrictions, and “freedom”, so ironical.

What happen when I reach heaven, and I did something rude to God?

Now remember eternal, does it means that I can get away with rudeness.

    To me,

    True love is unconditioned love,

Unconditioned loves do not desire anything in return.

I’m prepare to go anywhere with a calm mind, even to hell.

To Fear of hell, I rather face it.
    False.

Good deeds don't get anyone into heaven. You cannot be saved by doing good deeds. In fact, that is the way to hell.

The only way to get into heaven, is by believing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is this: The only way to be saved and to get into heaven and avoid being sent to eternal hell is by believing that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). Believe this and you are saved!

Please pray now: ';Jesus, please forgive me of my sins. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and You rose again. Thank You for eternal life!'; You will be in heaven with Him forever when you die :)
    Its a good point atually,

So in Christianity, athiests can do whatever they want,

Plus I would rather go to hell then heaven if either existed,

I mean the only people who would be able to get into heaven are people who don't know what the meaning of fun is and spend all their time trying to think of another reason to feel guilty.
i like that one, thats interesting. maybe not 100% true all the time, but it's accurate. but it goes back to the question of is there such a thing as true altruism? the answer is no. christians and other religious sheep, i mean followers, only do good because that is what they are told to do Atheist and everyone else only do an amount of good they think they can manage, and then only so they can say i'm a good person and feel good about themselves
    I'd make a slight change.

';When a christian does a good deed, he does so thinking that it will ensure he goes to heaven.

    When an athiest does a good deed, there is no reason for him to do it, other than to show kindness to another human being';
FALSE. Obviously you need to brush up on Christian theology before you try to make fun. Christians do NOT believe good deeds get you into heaven. Christians believe you have to truly believe in Christ and his teachings and trust in them, and accept him in you heart. Living righteously is a given if you truly believe in Christ
If a Christian does a good deed, it does nothing to get him into Heaven. Good deeds have no value in that respect. The price has been paid by Jesus.

However, if a Christian does not do good deeds, that may be evidence that they are not, in fact, Christian. A Christian should love all, forgive all, show mercy and judge no one.
A Christian does good deeds as a result of his salvation, and not as a means of acquiring salvation.

When an atheist does good deeds, the motivation is irrelevant.

    .
Well, it does make sense. Doing good to receive brownie points is selfish and dumb. Not very good at all. Doing good just to be doing good and to make other people happy, though, is actually good.
To the first response: does that mean I can do bad deeds all my life, believe in the gospel of Jusus christ and still get into heaven?

Athiests who do good deeds have no motive and are just satisfied to so.
Partially true, but I think a better way to break this down is like this - There are basically two types of people in this world: Good people, and A - - holes.

    Much easier to categorize, right?
false...just because you do something good doesn't mean you have a ';sure spot'; you have to endure to the end....which means you must live your life good til the end of it
Doing 'good deeds' has nothing to do with your religion.

It's your duty to help others.

It has to do with 'moral'.
False....and for those who said ';true'; because deeds earn salvation, please know your understanding of Christian is incomplete..
    False.

Good deeds don't get you to heaven if your a Christian, only Christ can get you to heaven.
It's false. How can a person ';know'; something that is a fairy tale. Does the child KNOW that the Tooth Fairy will leave money if he puts his tooth under his pillow?
    False..

Doing good deeds will not get you into heaven..

When a Christian does a good deed it should be because God wants him to do it.. Has nothing to do with whether he gets into heaven or not..
true. Because the ulterior motive is the afterlife
false...............the road to hell is paved with good intentions
    It is a false statement.

It has been well said that ';religion'; is man’s way of trying to deal with his guilt. Different religions have different ways of attempting to rid their adherents of sin and its consequences. They fast, pray, deny themselves legitimate pleasures, or chasten themselves, often to a point of inflicting pain. They do this because they have a concept of what they think God (or ';the gods';) is like, so they seek to establish their own righteousness, being ';ignorant of God’s righteousness.'; The Good News of the Christian faith is that no one need suffer the pains of religious works. Christ’s blood can cleanse our conscience from the ';dead works'; of religion (Hebrews 9:14). Jesus took our punishment upon Himself, and He is the only One who can save us from sin and death. See Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.

My wife sent an email to an attorney and made false statements is that illegal?

My wife stated in a email to an attorney that I am trying to take our kids from her and that i am ';very unstable'; This is very far from the truth, in fact, i love my children and think that having equal time with both parents is top priority. I would never use them as a tool for getting back at her as she apparently is. There are two sides to the story but it does not involve me being unstable or wanting to take the kids away from her. We failed each other at marriage and she is very angry right now. I've never suggested anything about taking the kids...she is a great mother and a hard worker i would never do that. So why is she doing this and isn't that considered ';liable'; or slanderMy wife sent an email to an attorney and made false statements is that illegal?
I would not worry about it since you do know the truth...KMy wife sent an email to an attorney and made false statements is that illegal?
It is neither libel nor slander, since you cannot claim to have been harmed by these statements, merely offended and it is not sworn testimony so it is not perjury....was this your lawyer to whom she e-mailed these comments or her own? Your attorney should not be accepting communications from her if she is represented by counsel and if it was HER lawyer, that's priviliged and you should not even know about it... You are out of gas for any legal recourse about these statements, true or false.
A written statement that denigrates another causing a monetary loss is libel. So, if anything, you would have a claim against your wife for libel if you could prove she wrote the statement, disseminated it to another person, and that person acted on it in a way that caused you harm. However, the statement has to be false. A good faith opinion based on known evidence isn't going to be the basis for libel. It is very, very unlikely that your wife's statements to her attorney could ever be shown to be empirically false.

Now, add to that the fact that anything your wife wrote to an attorney would be confidential and neither your wife nor the attorney could ever be made to reveal it.

Also, add the fact that suing your wife for libel would not exactly be demonstrating how easy-going and compromising you are.

I don't see you having much of a case.
that is very much against the law as well conflict of interest let your lawer know this ?
Talk is cheap and she can say anything she wants, however, she has to prove it. No, it's not liable or slander and it's not against the law.

You on the other hand better get ready for the fight of your life as she sounds like she's gonna be a royal ***** in the seperation and the divorse.

Good luck, your gonna need it.
is its legal to say what you won about anyone...but you have to have proof of it ...she has to have some kind of proof saying you are unstable a court wont just take her word espacilly when it comes to the kids..no its not slander or liable .. its just her opnion..the judge might have a recomendation for you to be evaluated by a physicartist.....
Making out a false statement on someone is slander and lying. She can be fined alot of money if caught.
To say something to her attorney is one thing. BUT if she signs an affidavit that is another story. If she swears under oath and lies this is also something lese. But to tell a lie to her attorney I don't think will amount to anything. This being because if he is any kind of lawyer he'll check, re-check, verify, and re-verify anything and everything before he even thinks of using it in court.
yes it is illegal to do that but i wouldnt worry if your not unstable and are true of what you say then she will be seen through and all will work out you know its sad she cant be a grown up and leave them problems that you to have be between you 2 and not the kids cause there the ones that get hurt in the end by lies
I think you have a nuclear bomb aimed right at the back of your head and you don't see it coming.

You should get a really good, very experienced lawyer and fast! You don't have any time to lose. Once your wife files a restraining order against you based on her assertion that you are unstable, you will be no better than chopped liver in court! And that restraining order will be just the beginning. You apparently have no idea not only what's possible, but probably on its way.

You should keep this question open for at least a week to give some friends of mine time to read your question and hopefully give you an earfull if they're willing to register here to do it.

Good luck! I hope you can find and can afford a really good, really competent lawyer! You sure are going to need it! And by the way, I hope you get your money out of all your accounts before her lawyer freezes them. It will be really hard to fund a defense and just as important, a strong offense without access to your money!

Are you trying to make a point here? Or are these just completely random true/false questions you want us to guess at?

Do you think this statement is True or false and WHY?

The amount of love a person understands is the same amount of love a person is able to receive love and rejoice in it.Do you think this statement is True or false and WHY?
    False.

Your rule must be Jesus. He represented the Thummin and Urim the Holy Priest wore on the shoulders of the breastplate, entering the Holy of Hollies.

Thummin and Urim mean ';Light'; and ';Integrity';. He IS our light to see the Way.

He loved much and had no love in return. In fact, the prophesy speaks about Him being ';not received'; by those who were His. No prophet is received in His land.

Knowledge is something you learn. Love is what you Do. Christ's Love is agape, it's a behavior, not a 'feeling', per sei.Do you think this statement is True or false and WHY?
Yes knowledge or understanding can increase the depths of love, but if you want to feel THE most love, it is not additive or cumulative, but rather it is integrative. The whole experience of love is greater than the sum of the parts. More than knowledge, feeling, intuition, meaning, association, it is all of these: it is an experience.
I think it's true. The problem is the word ';understands';. I understand this word in this statement as ';being able to feel';.

EDIT Yes I agree, but to know it you must feel it first, so you know what are you actually knowing:)
Love is a word coined by poets to describe what is essentially a biochemical reaction. As long as the biochemicals don't run out, neither will the feeling.
Not even. Understanding has little to do with it. Love is a feeling and a decision, something that involves your whole being.

I think understand and receive are the same when used this way so it's really just a math problem. Does Knowing X love equal ability to know X love?
True, it is the law of resonance and correspondance. Basic cosmic law.
    so in other words:

    And in the end

    the love you take

is equal to the love you make
    Its pure sentimental crap.

Do you think Islam is a Terrorist religion? And if you think that this statement is true or false, then why?

I am only asking a question. This is a fair question not meant to cause anger in anyone. It is just that a question. Asking for answers. Thank You and God Bless Everyone.Do you think Islam is a Terrorist religion? And if you think that this statement is true or false, then why?
absolutely. the koran (specifically mohammed) encourages terror, murder, torture, among other deviant behavior.

    read it for yourself.

far, far from any other religion i have dicussed before.

it's comments and history speak louder than i ever could though.

for those who say it is a peaceful religion with fringe extremists...you are NOT paying attention.

look at the middle east. mohammmeds faithful DO NOT want peace, they want DOMINATION.Do you think Islam is a Terrorist religion? And if you think that this statement is true or false, then why?
Islam is no more a terrorist religion than Christians or any other religion. Since every religion known to mankind is made by mankind you will always incorporate greed, power and control into the religion. There will always be a small percentage of people who go off the deep end and cause ';problems'; in the name of their God. But fortunately there are more members who consider these people as outcast and live by their religion dogma instead of wearing in on their cuffs.

It is the media that will bring out the bad, in order to sell their product, which promotes hate for these outcasts. Study history and it will tell you, in this country, we have had hate for race, religion, natural origin, sexual lifestyle etc. It is the lazy brainless people in this world that will fall for this to cover up their own self-esteem.

Love thy neighbor as thyself - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

    P.S. I am not Islam.
Not at all, Islam is not a terrorist religion. Islam is the religion of peace, tolerance and preaches brotherhood. Islam protect every one whether black or white, poor or rich. It will be better to read Quran to understand Islam. Quran is the final message of Allah or God to the all the community of the world. Quran is not sole property of Muslims but Quran is for all.Once you read this holy book, one may come to know the reality. There are scientific guidance of Allah to his creature. If the people do not understand the message of last Prophet of Allah forget and fogive them. The Allah is the final Almighty authority to judge these people.
    All religions have terrorist.

No Islam is not a terrorist religion

Islam means to summit to the will of God. We are for peace not hardship.

Those people are terrorist that just happen to be Muslim.

But as you have noticed this is not the thoughts of mainstream Islam.

The same could be said of Christian who perform acts of terrorism in the name of God, i.e. bombing abortion clinics

I have to disagree with you most terrorist are not Muslim. It is just that Muslims make the new more.

Mystery woman is right here is a link of some of the pictures little girls from Israel were writing on the missiles that were being sent into Lebanon http://www.tinyrevolution.com

    Here are some non-Muslim terrorist:

    (1) The Provisional Irish Republican Army (PIRA; more commonly referred to as the IRA, the Provos, or by some of its supporters as the army or the 'RA) is an Irish Republican paramilitary organization dedicated to the end of British rule in Northern Ireland and to a United Ireland. The organization has been outlawed and classified as a terrorist group in the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom, the United States and many other countries. Since its emergence in 1969, its stated aim has been the reunification of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland as a single sovereign state independent of the United Kingdom, which it believed could only be achieved by an armed campaign against British rule in Northern Ireland. On July 28, 2005, the Provisional IRA Army Council announced an end to its armed campaign, stating that it would work to achieve its aims using ';purely political and democratic programs through exclusively peaceful means'; and that ';IRA Volunteers must not engage in any other activities whatsoever';.

Like all other organizations calling themselves the IRA the Provisional’s refer to themselves in public announcements and internal discussions as Óglaigh na hÉireann (literally ';Volunteers of Ireland';), the official Irish language title of the Irish Defence Forces (the Irish army).

The IRA was chiefly active in Northern Ireland, although it took its campaign to the Republic of Ireland and England, and also carried out several attacks in the Netherlands and West Germany. The IRA also targeted certain British government officials, politicians, judges, senior Military and police officers and civilians in Great Britain, and in other areas such as West Germany, Canada, the Netherlands and Australia. A considerable number of British civilians were killed by IRA bombs during the conflict.

    (2) The Oklahoma City bombing was a terrorist attack on April 19, 1995, in which the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, a U.S. government office complex in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, was destroyed, killing 168 people. It is the deadliest domestic terrorist attack in the history of the United States and was the deadliest act of terrorism within U.S. borders until September 11, 2001. Two men later convicted of the bombing, Timothy McVeigh and his friend Terry Nichols, had sympathies with the anti-government militia movement. McVeigh later claimed that his aim was to avenge the Waco Siege.

    (3) ETA or Euskadi Ta Askatasuna (Basque for ';Basque Homeland and Freedom';; IPA pronunciation: [ˈɛːta]) is an armed Basque nationalist organization that seeks to create an independent socialist state for the Basque people in the Basque Country, separate from Spain and France. On March 22, 2006, the organization declared a permanent ceasefire stating it will commit itself ';to promote a democratic process in the Basque Country in order to build a new framework within which our rights as a people are recognized, and guarantee the opportunity to develop all political options in the future.'; ETA is considered by Spain, France, the European Union, and the United States to be a terrorist organization, with more than 800 killings attributed to it.

•October 8, 1999: ETA is designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTA) by the U.S. government for the first time.

    •25 May 2001: Thousands of Spaniards participate in a silent march through San Sebastian, a northern city, to protest the killing of journalist Santiago Oleaga Elejabarrieta. Banners are held that read ';No to ETA – Peace and Freedom.'; Spanish reporters give a statement saying, ';However much they kill and try to impose their cause through terror we, as media professionals, will defend the expression which took so long to achieve in this country.';

•11 July 2001 Hundreds of people gather in Madrid to commemorate the life of slain policeman Luis Ortiz de la Rosa, who was killed the preceding day. The rally protests ETA's actions.

•15 July 2001: CNN reports that hundreds of Spaniards have gathered in city and town halls around Spain to silently protest two killings blamed on the ';Basque terrorist group ETA';. The cities include Pamplona, Vitoria, and Zaragoza.

    •24 August 2001: The Spanish police arrest six suspected ETA members in the Barcelona suburb of Terrasa, seizing over 550 pounds of what CNN reports as ';explosives, firearms, forged license plates and electronic detonator components.';

•26 February 2002: U.S. Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill announces that the U.S. has frozen assets of twenty one people associated with ETA.

•22 December 2002: Ibon Fernandez Iradi, who is suspected of teaching ETA members how to make bombs, escapes from custody in a police station in Bayonne, France.

•8 October 2003: thirty four suspected ETA members are arrested in the early morning. Twenty-nine are apprehended in northern Spain and five in France.

    •9 December 2003: Police in southwestern France arrest Gorka Palacios, twenty nine, the alleged military commander of ETA. Three people who the police said were collaborators were also arrested in the 6:00 AM raid on a house in the village of Lons, near the town of Pau. At a news conference in Marrakesh, Morocco, Spanish interior minister Ángel Acebes characterized the arrests as of ';great significance'; and of ';first magnitude.';

•February 18, 2004: ETA publicly stated that a ceasefire only in Catalonia had been in effect since January 1, based on ';a desire to unite the ties between the Basque and Catalan peoples.'; Some claimed that this ceasefire was based on a secret pact with Josep-Lluís Carod-Rovira, leader of Esquerra Republicana de Catalunya (ERC, ';Republican Left of Catalonia';). Carod-Rovira, despite admitting to having met with ETA in France in December denied having reached any accord, saying that the meeting was an attempt to drive ETA away from violence, and ended with no results. This, during an electoral campaign, became a scandal, and endangered the recent tripartite Catalan government, formed by ERC (ERC), Iniciativa per Catalunya Verds-Esquerra Unida i Alternativa (ICV-EUiA) and the Partit dels Socialistes de Catalunya (PSC). The opposition then accused Aznar of being behind the leak to the media of the intelligence report detailing the meeting and Aznar refused to clarify whether he knew about this meeting before the leaking. Aznar was also questioned as to why the ETA members who attended that meeting were not detained.

•Also in 2004, ETA was initially suspected of being the authors of a series of ten bombings only a few days before the national elections, which targeted three locations along Madrid's suburban train lines on the morning of March 11, 2004, killing 192 civilians (see 11 March 2004 Madrid attacks). This theory was officially endorsed by José María Aznar's government, despite the police quickly gathering evidence pointing towards Islamic terrorism. Many Spanish citizens took this rush to judgment as an offence towards the victims of the attacks and towards the Spanish people; this was generally seen as a decisive factor in the electoral result which overturned Aznar's government (see Spanish legislative election, 2004). The authorship of this attack, the largest European terrorist incident in terms of lives lost since the 1988 Pan Am flight 103 flight bombing, has been finally ascribed to Islamist militants by the Spanish police.

•20 February 2004: Nine men and a woman are arrested, making the number of ETA suspects detained this week thirty three. They worked on a Basque-language newspaper, Euskaldunon Egunkaria, published statements from ETA. They've been released and their torture claims dismissed without being investigated or even calling them to testify [10].

•21 March 2004: A spokesman for the newly elected PSOE government of Spain rejects a proposal from ETA for negotiations because ETA was not prepared to surrender its weapons.

•September 27, 2004: ETA militants sent a videotape to Gara, a Basque newspaper based in Gipuzkoa, in which the militants stated that ETA would continue to fight for Basque self-determination and that ETA would ';respond with arms at the ready to those who deny us through the force of arms.'; This videotape represented ETA's first major public statement since the 11 March attacks. During the weekend preceding the videotape release, the group claimed responsibility for a series of bombings that hampered electricity transmission between France and Spain.

•October 3, 2004: French police launched an operation against ETA's logistical apparatus, making 21 arrests, among them the couple who functioned as top ETA leaders, Mikel Albizu Iriarte (';Mikel Antza';) and Soledad Iparragirre (';Anboto';). They found four zulos (caches) with a vast quantity of armaments, much greater than had been estimated to be at ETA's disposal; they also managed to turn up information about ETA's printing an internal newsletter, but nothing leading to any major bank account or other hoard of money. The operation was considered one of the most successful since Bidart in 1992. As of October 2004, it appears that these measures will result in ETA leadership moving into different hands; it is too soon to evaluate the consequences. Spain has solicited the extradition of Mikel Antza y Amboto via a Euroorden.

•December 12, 2004: The Real Madrid Santiago Bernabéu stadium football Stadium was evacuated due to a phoned-in bomb threat in name of ETA. The bomb—expected to blow up at 9:00 p.m.—didn't explode, and the 69,000 spectators of the match under way at the time of the call were safely evacuated by the Spanish Police at 8:45 p.m.

•May 17, 2005: The Spanish Government offered to hold talks with ETA if it renounced violence. The Opposition Popular Party condemned the overture as premature.

•March 5, 2006: Following the February 2006 deaths of ETA members Igor Miguel Angulo Iturrate, 32, (due to an apparent suicide by hanging) and Ricardo Sainz Olmos, 41, (by a heart attack), Batasuna together with the union Langile Abertzaleen Batzordeak convoked a day of protest and general strike on March 9.[11] On the morning of the strike, ETA detonated several bombs near highways, with no injuries.

•March 22, 2006: ETA have declared a ceasefire after nearly 40 years fighting for independence from Spanish and French authorities. Euskadi Ta Askatasuna has decided to declare a permanent ceasefire as from 0000 (2300GMT) on 24 March 2006.

    (4) The Centennial Olympic Park bombing was a terrorist bombing on July 27, 1996 in Atlanta, Georgia during the 1996 Summer Olympics, the first of four committed by right-wing extremist Eric Robert Rudolph. Two persons were killed, and 111 injured.

    (5) Political terrorism also may be part of a government campaign to eliminate the opposition, as under Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, and others, or may be part of a revolutionary effort to overthrow a regime. Terrorist attacks also are now a common tactic in guerrilla warfare. Governments find attacks by terrorist groups difficult to prevent; international agreements to tighten borders or return terrorists for trial may offer some deterrence.

    (6) Terrorism in India can be attributed to India's many low intensity conflicts within its borders. If terrorism can be defined as ';peacetime equivalent of war crime';, then these sites of low intensity conflicts are prime spots for terrorism in India. The regions with long term terrorist activities today are Jammu and Kashmir (movement for autonomy), Central India (Naxalism) and Seven Sister States (independence and autonomy movements). In the past, the Punjab insurgency led to terrorist activities in the Indian state of Punjab as well as the national capital Delhi (Delhi serial blasts, Anti-Sikh riots). The rise of right-wing politics have also increased terrorist activities, leading to pogroms (Godhra Riots) and the Bombay bomb blasts. In recent times, the Delhi and the Varanasi bomb blasts were aimed not against the Indian state but were aimed to trigger a Hindu-Muslim schism. The perpetrators of terrorism have been members of armed opposition groups. Allegations of the involvement of state agencies of foreign nations have been made, but very little concrete evidence exists to support such allegations.

    (7) Japan’s Aum Shinrikyo, who released nerve gas in Tokyo’s subway system

    (8) Shining Path (Sendero Luminoso in Spanish) is a Maoist guerrilla organization in Peru; followers are generally called Senderistas. The group never refers to itself as ';Shining Path';, preferring to be called the Communist Party of Peru (see Communism in Peru); the more familiar name comes from the maxim of José Carlos Mariátegui, founder of Peru's first communist party: ';El Marxismo-Leninismo abrirá el sendero luminoso hacia la revolución'; (“Marxism-Leninism will open the shining path to revolution”).[1] The phrase was used on the masthead of the group's newspaper. The name ';Shining Path'; is used by outsiders to distinguish the organization from other Peruvian groups that claim to be ';the communist party of Peru.'; These other groups are generally identified by the name of their newspapers.

Shining Path's stated goal is to replace Peruvian bourgeois institutions with a communist peasant revolutionary regime, presumably passing first through the Maoist developmental stage of New Democracy. Since the capture of its leader Abimael Guzmán in 1992, it has only been sporadically active. Shining Path's ideology and tactics have been influential on other Maoist insurgent groups, notably the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) and other Revolutionary Internationalist Movement-affiliated armed organizations.

Widely condemned for its brutality, including violence deployed against peasants, trade union organizers, popularly elected officials and the general civilian population, Sendero is on the U.S. Department of State's ';Designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations'; list.[2] Peru, the United Kingdom and the European Union likewise regard Shining Path as a terrorist group and prohibit providing funding or other financial support.

    (9) The Red Brigades (Brigate Rosse in Italian, often abbreviated as BR) are a militant leftist group located in Italy. Formed in 1970, the Marxist Red Brigades sought to create a revolutionary state through armed struggle and to separate Italy from the Western Alliance. In 1978, they kidnapped and killed Prime Minister Aldo Moro under obscure circumstances. After 1984's scission, Red Brigades managed with difficulty to survive the official end of the Cold War in 1989, even though it is now a fragile group with no original members. Throughout the 1970’s the Red Brigades were credited with 14,000 acts of violence.

    (10) The Ku Klux Klan, from Reconstruction at the end of the civil war to the end of the civil rights movement, the Ku Klux Klan used threats, violence, arson, and murder to further its white-supremacist, anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic agenda.

    (11) The Weathermen were a U.S. radical left organization active from 1969 to 1975. Its members referred to themselves as a ';revolutionary organization of communist women and men.'; Their goal was the revolutionary overthrow of the U.S. government. Toward this end, and to change U.S. policy in Vietnam, they bombed a number of police and military targets. The group collapsed shortly after the U.S. withdrawal from Vietnam in 1975.

    (12) From 1978 to 1995, anti-technology radical and former mathematics professor Theodore Kaczynski--known by the codename ';UNABOMBER'; until his identification and arrest by the FBI--carried out a campaign of sending letter bombs to academics and various individuals associated with computer technology. The attacks ceased with his capture.

    (13) Beginning on September 18, 2001, a number of media organizations and American politicians received, through the United States Postal Service, envelopes which contained weaponized anthrax. Although as of late 2005, no charges have been filed with regards to these attacks, the matter is widely believed to be an act of domestic terrorism.

    (14) In the United States, acts of domestic terrorism are generally considered to be uncommon. According to the FBI, however, between the years of 1980 and 2000, 250 of the 335 incidents confirmed as or suspected to be terrorist acts in the United States were carried out by American citizens.
This question really belongs in the political forum.

No, Islam is not a terrorist religion even though some of its adherents are religious terrorists. This is not an exercise in semantics, even if it looks like one.

There are hundreds of millions of Moslems around the world. If even 0.1% (one in a thousand) of them were terrorists and commited one terrorist act per year, the result would be hundreds of thousands of terrorist acts every year. Instead there are about a thousanth of that number. Islamic terrorism exists, but it is a relatively rare abberation within Islam. An islamic terrorist is probably one in a million.
Islam is DEFINITELY NOT a terrorist religion. it is the most peaceful religion. Here, watch this video. maybe some of ur questions will be answered. it's a real good vid. its not boring.

    here u go:

    :)
I can not equate terrorist/terrorism with Islam, the same way that I can not equate Timothy Mcvade with Christianity.
    MUSLIMS ARE FUNDAMENTALISTS AND TERRORISTS

    Question:

Why are most of the Muslims fundamentalists and terrorists?

    Answer:

This question is often hurled at Muslims, either directly or indirectly, during any discussion on religion or world affairs. Muslim stereotypes are perpetuated in every form of the media accompanied by gross misinformation about Islam and Muslims. In fact, such misinformation and false propaganda often leads to discrimination and acts of violence against Muslims. A case in point is the anti-Muslim campaign in the American media following the Oklahoma bomb blast, where the press was quick to declare a ‘Middle Eastern conspiracy’ behind the attack. The culprit was later identified as a soldier from the American Armed Forces.

Let us analyze this allegation of ‘fundamentalism’ and ‘terrorism’:

    1. Definition of the word ‘fundamentalist’

A fundamentalist is a person who follows and adheres to the fundamentals of the doctrine or theory he is following. For a person to be a good doctor, he should know, follow, and practise the fundamentals of medicine. In other words, he should be a fundamentalist in the field of medicine. For a person to be a good mathematician, he should know, follow and practise the fundamentals of mathematics. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of mathematics. For a person to be a good scientist, he should know, follow and practise the fundamentals of science. He should be a fundamentalist in the field of science.

    2. Not all ‘fundamentalists’ are the same

One cannot paint all fundamentalists with the same brush. One cannot categorize all fundamentalists as either good or bad. Such a categorization of any fund amentalist will depend upon the field or activity in which he is a fundamentalist. A fundamentalist robber or thief causes harm to society and is therefore undesirable. A fundamentalist doctor, on the other hand, benefits society and earns much respect.

    3. I am proud to be a Muslim fundamentalist

I am a fundamentalist Muslim who, by the grace of Allah, knows, follows and strives to practise the fundamentals of Islam. A true Muslim does not shy away from being a fundamentalist. I am proud to be a fundamentalist Muslim because, I know that the fundamentals of Islam are beneficial to humanity and the whole world. There is not a single fundamental of Islam that causes harm or is against the interests of the human race as a whole. Many people harbour misconceptions about Islam and consider several teachings of Islam to be unfair or improper. This is due to insufficient and incorrect knowledge of Islam. If one critically analyzes the teachings of Islam with an open mind, one cannot escape the fact that Islam is full of benefits both at the individual and collective levels.

    4. Dictionary meaning of the word ‘fundamentalist’

According to Webster’s dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ was a movement in American Protestanism that arose in the earlier part of the 20th century. It was a reaction to modernism, and stressed the infallibility of the Bible, not only in matters of faith and morals but also as a literal historical record. It stressed on belief in the Bible as the literal word of God. Thus fundamentalism was a word initially used for a group of Christians who believed that the Bible was the verbatim word of God without any errors and mistakes.

According to the Oxford dictionary ‘fundamentalism’ means ‘strict maintenance of ancient or fundamental doctrines of any religion, especially Islam’.

Today the moment a person uses the word fundamentalist he thinks of a Muslim who is a terrorist.

    5. Every Muslim should be a terrorist

Every Muslim should be a terrorist. A terrorist is a person who causes terror. The moment a robber sees a policeman he is terrified. A policeman is a terrorist for the robber. Similarly every Muslim should be a terrorist for the antisocial elements of society, such as thieves, dacoits and rapists. Whenever such an anti-social element sees a Muslim, he should be terrified. It is true that the word ‘terrorist’ is generally used for a person who causes terror among the common people. But a true Muslim should only be a terrorist to selective people i.e. anti-social elements, and not to the common innocent people. In fact a Muslim should be a source of peace for innocent people.

    6. Different labels given to the same individual for the same action, i.e. ‘terrorist’ and ‘patriot’

Before India achieved independence from British rule, some freedom fighters of India who did not subscribe to non-violence were labeled as terrorists by the British government. The same individuals have been lauded by Indians for the same activities and hailed as ‘patriots’. Thus two different labels have been given to the same people for the same set of actions. One is calling him a terrorist while the other is calling him a patriot. Those who believed that Britain had a right to rule over India called these people terrorists, while those who were of the view that Britain had no right to rule India called them patriots and freedom fighters.

It is therefore important that before a person is judged, he is given a fair hearing. Both sides of the argument should be heard, the situation should be analyzed, and the reason and the intention of the person should be taken into account, and then the person can be judged accordingly.

    7. Islam means peace

Islam is derived from the word ‘salaam’ which means peace. It is a religion of peace whose fundamentals teach its followers to maintain and promote peace throughout the world.

Thus every Muslim should be a fundamentalist i.e. he should follow the fundamentals of the Religion of Peace: Islam. He should be a terrorist only towards the antisocial elements in order to promote peace and justice in the society.

WAS ISLAM SPREAD BY THE SWORD?

    Question:

How can Islam be called the religion of peace when it was spread by the sword?

    Answer:

It is a common complaint among some non-Muslims that Islam would not have millions of adherents all over the world, if it had not been spread by the use of force. The following points will make it clear, that far from being spread by the sword, it was the inherent force of truth, reason and logic that was responsible for the rapid spread of Islam.

    1. Islam means peace.

Islam comes from the root word ‘salaam’, which means peace. It also means submitting one’s will to Allah (swt). Thus Islam is a religion of peace, which is acquired by submitting one’s will to the will of the Supreme Creator, Allah (swt).

    2. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace.

Each and every human being in this world is not in favour of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and anti-social elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.

    3. Opinion of historian De Lacy O’Leary.

The best reply to the misconception that Islam was spread by the sword is given by the noted historian De Lacy O’Leary in the book ’Islam at the cross road’ (Page 8):

’History makes it clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the most fantastically absurd myth that historians have ever repeated.’

    4. Muslims ruled Spain for 800 years.

Muslims ruled Spain for about 800 years. The Muslims in Spain never used the sword to force the people to convert. Later the Christian Crusaders came to Spain and wiped out the Muslims. There was not a single Muslim in Spain who could openly give the adhan, that is the call for prayers.

    5. 14 million Arabs are Coptic Christians.

Muslims were the lords of Arabia for 1400 years. For a few years the British ruled, and for a few years the French ruled. Overall, the Muslims ruled Arabia for 1400 years. Yet today, there are 14 million Arabs who are Coptic Christians i.e. Christians since generations. If the Muslims had used the sword there would not have been a single Arab who would have remained a Christian.

    6. More than 80% non-Muslims in India.

The Muslims ruled India for about a thousand years. If they wanted, they had the power of converting each and every non-Muslim of India to Islam. Today more than 80% of the population of India are non-Muslims. All these non-Muslim Indians are bearing witness today that Islam was not spread by the sword.

    7. Indonesia and Malaysia.

Indonesia is a country that has the maximum number of Muslims in the world. The majority of people in Malaysia are Muslims. May one ask, ’Which Muslim army went to Indonesia and Malaysia?’

    8. East Coast of Africa.

Similarly, Islam has spread rapidly on the East Coast of Africa. One may again ask, if Islam was spread by the sword, ’Which Muslim army went to the East Coast of Africa?’

    9. Thomas Carlyle.

The famous historian, Thomas Carlyle, in his book ’Heroes and Hero worship’, refers to this misconception about the spread of Islam: ’The sword indeed, but where will you get your sword? Every new opinion, at its starting is precisely in a minority of one. In one man’s head alone. There it dwells as yet. One man alone of the whole world believes it, there is one man against all men. That he takes a sword and try to propagate with that, will do little for him. You must get your sword! On the whole, a thing will propagate itself as it can.’

    10. No compulsion in religion.

With which sword was Islam spread? Even if Muslims had it they could not use it to spread Islam because the Qur’an says in the following verse:

’Let there be no compulsion in religion:

Truth stands out clear from error’

    [Al-Qur’an 2:256]

    11. Sword of the Intellect.

It is the sword of intellect. The sword that conquers the hearts and minds of people. The Qur’an says in Surah Nahl, chapter 16 verse 125:

’Invite (all) to the way of thy Lord

    with wisdom and beautiful preaching;

and argue with them in ways that are

    best and most gracious.’

    [Al-Qur’an 16:125]

    12. Increase in the world religions from 1934 to 1984.

An article in Reader’s Digest ‘Almanac’, year book 1986, gave the statistics of the increase of percentage of the major religions of the world in half a century from 1934 to 1984. This article also appeared in ‘The Plain Truth’ magazine. At the top was Islam, which increased by 235%, and Christianity had increased only by 47%. May one ask, which war took place in this century which converted millions of people to Islam?

    13. Islam is the fastest growing religion in America and Europe.

Today the fastest growing religion in America is Islam. The fastest growing religion in Europe in Islam. Which sword is forcing people in the West to accept Islam in such large numbers?

    14. Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson.

Dr. Joseph Adam Pearson rightly says, ’People who worry that nuclear weaponry will one day fall in the hands of the Arabs, fail to realize that the Islamic bomb has been dropped already, it fell the day MUHAMMED (pbuh) was born’
Islam is a peaceful religion and I hate it when people assume that we go by the sword.
I do not believe that True Islam is a terrorist religion. I don't know that much about Islam, but I know that you cannot judge a whole religion by the actions of the radical fundamentalists of that religion.

I actually think Christianity (of the Middle Ages specifically) was more of a terrorist religion because of its wars on the so-called Holy Land.

Christians also have their own brand of rabid fundamentalists who act like terrorists.

I do not mean to imply that all Fundamentalist Christians are this way. There are radical, rabid sects of fundamentalists within every major religion.
mmm...Islam is not a terrorist religion...is their a Muslim terrorists?..yes of course, but can we judge the whole thing from a bunch of extremists....if you were me wouldn't you be offended by the stereotypes?...have you seen a sign of terrorism in R%26amp;S from a muslim?...you should ask yourself that......and let me tell you,we don't consider the extremists to be a muslim, they don't deserve the honour...

    peace
I think it is a religion of extremes %26amp; as such , terrorists receive encouragement from the more radical elements.

Although Christianity has a fundamental code for human behaviour , it doesn't encourage believers to impose their beliefs by force on to non believers as does Islam.

Islam is provocative ! It is domineering ! It does not show love to nonbelievers but encourages its' followers to impose their beliefs !

In summary , no I don't think the religion is terrorist by definition but certainly leaves itself wide open to criticism for

providing the means to encourage it!
Islam is a religion of peace. People choose to see it as a ';terrorist'; religion because of what has happened in the past 50 yrs, and are taking sections of the Quran that talk about jihad and war out of context. What people don't seem to realize is that at the time the Quran was written Prophet Muhammad was not only bringing a message to his people but also creating social and political reform. History clearly shows that whenever social and political reform are introduced to a country or people it brings about chaos, hatred and violence.

If everyone took the time to read the Entire Quran they would see that it teaches how to live a full and prosperous life in the service of God, and condones senseless acts of violence.
No, I do not think it is a terrorist religion. It is just sad that so many terrorists are Muslims. I have met so many wonderful people who follow Islam and they are also against the terrorism. : )
No i dont. Islam is a religion that teaches peace, love and acceptance.
No,False I think that what you are talking about are a small Part of Extremists. There Are extremists in all religion. So i would say No.Since there are Wars and issues there every one thinks that Islam is a Bad religion while christianty, juduasuim, and islam all belive in 1 God
Not all Islamic people are not terrorist. Its just the extreme few that are hard core that are terrorist.

But people from other religions are extremist too and that have committed terrorist acts.

    suro
Muslims, Christians and Jews understand the great danger the international community is in today. The dangers of Hezbollah, Terrorists cells etc..

But keep in mind there is a big difference between Terrosists and Muslims, Chrsitians and Jews.

Danger extends to the 'doorstep' of every democratic, freedom-loving nation.

So Muslims, Christians and Jews are contiually growing and learning about the values we share in common.

Muslims, Christians and Jews are accustomed to being libeled, hated, and used as scapegoats for the world's ills.

However, the difference today is that Muslims, Christians and Jews have been linked together, both by the need to defeat terrorism and our commitment to a common set of moral and spiritual values.

Given the global dangers we face today as Muslims, and Christians and Jews together, we are increasingly becomming aware of the ongoing opportunities we have to forge even closer bonds. ~(~
