No I don't think so, how bad was it, and have they found out yet, if not just carry on. Unless it was a real big lie to get something you don't deserve. The insanity plea may work in very rare ';crime of passion'; cases. Even then, Andrea Yates was legally insane when she murdered her children yet she still went to jail.

If they take you to court they can order you to repay immediatly, ut if you offer to pay it back you can set up a plan to pay back as little as 拢2 per week.

No...you're overthinking this. Keep it simple. Act airheaded and dumb as a box of rocks. Be surprised about the error. Allege you didn't know. Then apologize and say you're sorry you misunderstood. You weren't feeling well when you filled out the form, you were under a lot of stress and on pain medication for a back injury.
