Which statement about God is false?

Logically only two of the following three statements can be true.

1.God is all good

2.God is all powerful

3.Evil exists

Which one do you think is false? Why do you think soWhich statement about God is false?
err...

It could be argued that all three are false, if you are suggesting that evil is a actual force directing peoples lives.

If it is a force, then the first would be false, as a God who is all good, would never create an evil force.

If God is all powerful, an evil force would have been destroyed by a all good God.

So all three must be false.

And evil cannot be measured and does not infect, so evil as a force does not exist, except in the concept of evil being what is considered immoral. Morality is not a force, it is a concept.

As concepts, mental constructs, all three could also be considered true and logically argued as well.

Sorry to disappoint.Which statement about God is false?
Whew, I'm glad I didn't disappoint then!

All 3 are true. I know it's hard to swallow but our all good, all powerful God allows evil to exist. He could banish and destroy forever all evil in a second. Someday He will do just that when Satan is thrown into the Lake of fire. So why not now? Because we have been given free will in this lifetime to choose Him or not to choose Him. Since He is all good, what goes against Him is evil.
First question is wrong. Second is also wrong. The third? You guessed it, it's wrong. Open your mind a little bit to other possibilities. It is not always best to follow conventional wisdom. Just because most people say things does not mean they are true. You can figure it out on your own, all you need is a little FAITH! Good luck.
I think 1.God is all good is false!

You don't know him or even meet him so how will you know is God good or not?
Honestly God is Good, and God is great. He is also all powerfull and evil does exist. Here is my honest view on that. God is Good and has a plan for everyone. Sometimes his plan interfiers with ours. And alot of the time we don't always follow his plan for us. So he has to allow something to happen..Such as the shock factor to get us back onto the right track. God is all powerfull. He can and does controll things. I mean he did create everything you see right?. And evil does exist. In people who think that they are better than God. A.K.A Lucifer (the devil) he thought that he was better than God. Therefore he was cast out of heaven.

I hope this somewhat answered your question and I really hope that you find the answer that you are looking for! Good luck and God Bless!
God is all good--he created the devil as a scapegoat, created adam and eve, the tree of knowledge and a serpent capable of seducing them and then blamed them for falling, he has destroyed the human race a few times, condemned unbaptised babies to burn in hell, along with anmybody else he chooses--he doesn't sound good at all to me--now that jesus fellow on the other hand, was a drastic improvement
Sorry, but all 3 are true.
# 3.Evil only exists when we are in human form. There is no reason for evil when we are a spirit being.
All three statements are correct.

God is all good is correct and He is good all the time.

God is all powerful is also correct, only an all powerful God can create the whole universe and uphold them in His power.

Evil exists is also correct. It was a sad fact that Lucifer chose to rebel and decided to become like God. As the result, sorrows, sufferings, sickness, strife, wars, and death came in the wake of sin. But finally, there will be a total, complete and permanent settlement. Satan, sin and sinners will be eradicated and this world will be renewed when evil will not exist any longer.

Evil exists now, but it will be inexistent in the renewed earth or heaven.
all of them because my personal beleif is he was made to explain the unexplained and now it is expalined ppl still practice but hey dont bag on me for my belefis i will respect urs just my opnion.
GOD IS ALL GOOD!

GOD IS ALL POWERFUL

EVIL EXISTS

Let me open up a little history to you guys.

There must be an oposition in all things, good and evil. If there wasn't then there would be no wickedness, or holiness nor misery neither good or bad. All things must be a compound in one; If you shall say, there is no law, you shall also say there is no sin, and if no sin, then there is no righteousness. and if not righteousness, then no happiness. and if not righteousness nor happiness, then there is no punishment nor misery. and if these things are not then there is no God. And if there is no God then we are not, neither the earth for there could have been no creation of things to act or be acted upon.

2Nephi, 10 and 12

Evil exists cause the ';natural man'; is stupid and makes mistakes and also because Satan stands to tempt and to bring down souls to Hell. Have any of you wondered why there is a Satan in the first place? Satan is also known as Lucifer, which means son of the morning, light bringer if you will. Lucifer is a son of God that rebelled against God, and how do we know this. Satan's whole purpose is to bring us down to Hell, what is there to do in Hell, nothing, we are stuck, our agency is gone. God gave us the gift of agency. It is the only gift that He has no power to take away, therefore, Satan, who wanted to take away our agency in the first place, was cast out of Heaven. God is all good and powerful, but does not make us do anything, we are free to choose according to our will and pleasure. ';wherefore, men are free acooding to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the greath Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil, for he seeketh that all men might be miseralbe like unto himself.'; (2Nephi 2:27)
1 and 2 are in your imagination keep trying!

#3 is true..... don't try loaded questions on me sherlock.

the concept of god is a con not an existence.
Well depends on your concept of good and evil. Many would say even evil serves the good, that evil and good is united in purpose. and that all dualities are actually triads. The 2 paradoxes, but that which harmonizes these paradoxes. In Genesis, after every creation, God saw that it was good. Man in his earthbound mind can not perceive reality in a higher prospective, only one that is infused with dualism. In higher reality, good and evil are different sides of the same coin, correction (reap what you sow, karma), development, and refinement comes through what people refer to as evil. All things are Good, purposeful in the end, even if we don't understand there reason. Perhaps people should seek to understand why people are born into lives of suffering while others are born into lives that aren't. There is no luck of the draw. ';God'; don't play dice, evil is necessary for good to exist, it's just that all things have purpose, have you not seen, in the bible even the devil serves God (although the bible is allegory, but im just saying).

An example (although I know the bible is allegory, just to illustrate a point I'll use this),

';I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things'; (Isa 45:7 KJV) -- ';The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil'; (Prov 16:4 KJV) -- ';Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?'; (Amos 3:6 KJV).

And this is why,

';But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive'; (Gen 50:20 NKJ).
God created Good and Evil and therefore #3 is false. Why? Because it implies that ONLY evil exists and is therefore an incomplete statement. God created both and then allowed the creation to take on either quality... namely those with free will (humans and jinns). God personally is all good. Those who stray from good tend to gravitate towards evil. However, those who try to attain God by surrendering to God's will tend to be good... or atleast intend to be good.
Evil exists.

None of us has the power to differential between good and evil without the wisdom of GOD. With HIM, none is evil.
What logic are you using to state that only two of them can be true?

If God is all Good %26amp; all powerful....then evil cannot exist.

But...if Freedom of will...in the sense that evil is a man-made concept, has been brought into reality by mankind....then in a sense...evil still does exist.
About God none are true. There is no God but Evil does exist. Goodness exist too you don't need a fantasy for that. xx
Evil does not exists..

It is transient.

you can not ';Find evil';

it finds you!

I never hear someone say

';found some evil today';

I hear them say

';that WAS evil'; or

';he is evil';

but of course

he is never evil today

for if he was

I would find him.

but now he runs away.

for something to exist it must have understanding, evil has no understanding.

It is like this...

A man who becomes all good finds eternal life and true existence.

A man who is of no good will not find...

understand ';to exist'; and a seed you will have.

a baby is not born evil is it?
All 3 statements are true. God is not responsible for evil. Man is responsible for evil. What you are hiding is your pre-suppositions. You're assumming that God can give man free will and then force man to only perform good deeds and not evil deeds. God could have programmed man so that he only performed good deeds but then man would have been a robot. God wanted a creature that could love. There is no such thing as love without free will. But if you give man you're going to have evil.

Because God is good and God is all powerful doesn't mean that God can force man to freely do good. God can't force anyone to freely do anything. Forcing to freely do something is an oxymoron. The fact that God is all-powerful only means He can do whatever can be done. God can't create a square circle. Similarly, God can't FORCE someone to FREELY(of his own free will) do something.

No 2. While I believe God is all powerful, there are certain things God absolutely will not do according to His word.

1) God will not sin.

2) God will not remember sin under the Blood.

3) God will not lie.

4) God will not break covenant.

5) God will not act in a manner contrary to His Divine Nature.6)

6) God will not put just anyone at His right hand.

Read the Bible and see what you can come up with.

I Cr 13;8a

12-13-6
It doesn't naturally follow that God is responsible for evil if the first two are true.

They're all true.
They are all true. God is temporarilly allowing evil to exist, but He's going to take care of that one day.

It is possible for something to be true even if it doesn't make sense to you. You must think pretty highly of yourself to believe that if something isn't logical TO YOU, that it must not be true.

You're just an arrogant pseudo-intellectual.
It cannot be concluded that only two are true. We could suppose that God is all good, but permitted evil to exist for some good purpose -- such as testing the believers, a la Job. But there is no proof of either the existence or non-existence of god, and it follows that no theory of god can have any real-world consequences. Hence, it is convenient to assume that god does not exist, since it makes no difference anyway.
By extension the ';correct'; answer would be that #3 is false. This is elementary New Thought/Christian Science/Seicho-No-Ie. However the postulate that God exists is not demonstrable. Therefore, the question is moot.
Gah, that's hard! But I'll just risk people killing me by saying that the second one is false. He's not ';all-powerful.'; If he was, then there would be a ';perfect world'; and there would be no nonbelievers like me. Evil exists, and he doesn't control Satan. Ok, back to the silly nonreligious questions.
According to the Bible, God is not all powerful, AND he is the creator of evil as well as good. Here is the short list of scriptures that illustrate these points.

(KJV) Gen 11:5/ Gen 18:20,21/ Gen 3:8/ Judg 1:19/ Ex 31:17/ Jer 15:6 clearly show that God is not all-powerful.

(KJV) Lam 3:38/ Jer 18:11/ Is 45:7/ Amos 3:6/ Ezek 20:25 illustrate Gods role as the author of evil.

Therefore, from a logical, Biblical standpoint, only the third statement is true.

From a non-Biblical veiwpoint, the existance of God has never been proven or disproven. This renders the first 2 statements moot. However, as a matter of perspective, evil DOES exist as an insubstantual concept. Therefore the only logical statement is #3.

-SD-
You of course assume that because God is all powerful, and all good, that evil can not exist, except that God made it, but God could not have made it, if He is all good. To assume something is to make an a** out of you and me. God did not create evil, and God is all good and all powerful. Lucifer was the one that created evil within his own heart. God did not creat him with evil in him, ALL created beings have the capacity to disobey God, to create evil within ourselves, it is our FREE choice. We all have that free choice, to choose to obey or to choose to disobey God. So, all three of your choices are valid, and true.
1) or 2) is false.
your wrong, only 1 exist, evil exist osama bin laden for example, the other 2 can not be logical because there is no eye to eye contact proof with god to prove that he/her (who knows? he or her?) even exist.
Most philosophers agree Alvin Plantinga has already demolished this atheological argument. There is no demonstrable logical incompatibility in an Omnibenevolent, Omnipotent God and the existence of evil in the world. Where is the contradiction?
Those three are all true. But ';power'; and ';good'; mean different things between us and God. With God, power means his authority, and he has authority over all things unless he chooses to let it have its own free will. With us, power typically means strength, which God doesn't need because he is not a physical being. The fact that evil exists does not refute the concept of God, granted the fact that he allows things to happen he personally doesn't do evil. He might, in fact, let evil things happen but he generate some positive result by his Providence.
