D)Membrane proteins act as receptors to molecules like hormones.

E)Membrane proteins serve as enzymes.Which of the following statements regarding membrane protein function is false?
b is false. the only genetic information in a cell is in the nucleus, or in the mitochondria's nucleusWhich of the following statements regarding membrane protein function is false?
Re: Wes:

Yes if the cell is Eukaryotic, but no if it is a bacterium. Bacteria contain plasmids (circular DNA that contain information typically not required for cell survival, but that usually provide a growth advantage) in the cytoplasm which can be transferred from one cell to another when membrane proteins interact and form a conduit through which the material can pass. This is one way that genes encoding antibiotic resistance spread, even among different species of bacteria.

All of the other answers are correct, though.
